At Karma Modern Indian, you will find traditional Indian cooking techniques along with unexpected ingredient combinations, forward-thinking flavor profiles, contemporary plating and impressive table service. While dining at Karma Modern Indian, you experience a truly contemporary take on Indian Cuisine.
We blend traditional and new flavors for a novel approach to Indian cooking. It is important to us to preserve time-honored cooking techniques while surprising our guests with unique dishes and menu items.
We source high-quality ingredients to form the starting point of each dish and add to those fresh spices which we grind in-house. Our culinary team transforms these ingredients into unforgettable meals.
Your favorites, such as naan bread, palak paneer, and chicken tikka remain the foundation of our menu. Whether you are looking for a classic dish such as butter chicken, or one of our new creations, like grilled branzino, our primary aim is to make Indian food more approachable.
Executive Chef Ajay Kumar leads with notable experience, including more than 15 years in New Delhi, India. He combines traditional Indian spices with non-traditional ingredients such as octopus, lobster, and quinoa for a fresh take on the long-established perception of Indian Cuisine.
Completing the overall dining experience, our bar director, Harley Mocker, creates a rotating list of seasonal and classic cocktails as well as Indian inspired mixes. Our bar boasts one of the largest collections of whiskey in the city and offers a thoughtfully sourced and biodynamic wine list.
The concept of "Karma" refers to the effect our actions have on our lives and the lives of others. As the name Karma conveys, we proudly donate a portion of our sales to local and global charities that benefit children in impoverished communities at home and around the world.
We look forward to hosting you,
Sachin Mahajan and Ricky Singh
